YOUR BEST IS YET TO COME

YOUR BEST IS YET TO COME

You never planned to hustle in life and it never was anywhere in your visualization of your future self, back in the day. You never planned to be jobless and certainly not to stagnate in your job. It never was your plan to have challenges in school both in academic prowess and in monetary facilitation. You never scheduled to hop from relationship to relationship, much less, from marriage to marriage. You never anticipated skipping meals, not to keep fit, but because of financial constraints. Food, shelter and clothing were introduced to you by your teacher as the basic human needs prompting you to never anticipate lack in any of them. If you ever dreamt, if you ever planned, if you ever wished, if you ever envisaged anything in your life, it was definitely not problems.
Today however, the world seems to have summersaulted on you. Things seem not to work and every step you take seems to encounter problems and more problems. Your hand in business seems to have been met with the evil forces of resistance. You probably have written a novel in your mind about the problems your business has encountered. Employment has been a nightmare for you; something seems to be tampering with your job applications before they land at their intended destinations. For the employed, your employment today is not as appealing as it used to be and probably your boss is topping the list of people you believe are up in arms to ‘finish’ you. You cannot wipe the horrific thought of losing your job off your head.
Probably, family problems have not spared you; your marriage appears to have been cooked and served by the devil himself. Schooling your children has never been smooth; they keep coming back home for fees. Perhaps marshalling your own fees for the much needed further studies is now your biggest concern. Sickness has visited your family in big proportions and you cannot help wondering when the prophetic healing will come. Today, even without you having planned for problems, they are now your middle name. Your prayers do not seem to reach their destination. Something seems to either intercept your prayers enroute to God or the answers from God. The problems have been too much and the waiting excessively long.
Well, all is not lost. Today, I carry a message of hope for you. The problems you are facing are not unique to you and neither are they new. What you are going through today and what you might go through in future are common problems affecting many other people. I won’t promise an absolute end to problems because they exist to toughen you and not to kill you. Tough times do not last but tough people do. You were never designed to suffer and therefore your current tribulations are not part of the original script; they all are temporary.  The best part of your life still lies ahead of you; therefore, hold on a little longer. Whereas you may do nothing about your past, you can do a lot to make your tomorrow better than your today and your yesterday combined.
Life does not give you what you deserve but what you demand. You deserve a better life and everything good but this is yet to be automated; you have to demand for it. Demanding does not involve holding demonstrations and picketing, but making deliberate decisions and actions to work for what you want. As you do this, there is bound to be problems along the way such as the ones you are facing today. Keep your eyes on the ultimate destination since you never began the journey towards problems. Problems are like bumps on the road; they allow you a breather and a chance to look left and right just in case you missed the turn off junction. Journeys never end at the bumps however many they are. In most cases, these bumps will be located close to your destination to usher you in your desired town. Do not terminate the journey prematurely.
Your problems do not signify an end but the darkness just before dawn. The best life you will ever live is yet to come, it is still ahead of you, work for it. No one is recognized by the number of problems he/she goes through, but by the number of times he/she maneuvers out victoriously; so stop counting problems and whining. Whereas you may lack chance to discover a new problem, life gives you chance to discover new solutions. There is no trophy for starting strong, but there is for finishing strong. Fight for that which you believe in and do not give up yet. Avoid negative energy, avoid listing problems and begin listing solutions. Your best is yet to come for YOU CAN DO BETTER!
